最初の一曲目から速くてものすごい印象を与えてくれます。速いだけではなくヘヴィな曲やインストもあり非常に盛りだくさんな内容になっています。
余談ですが、インストの９はイングウェイが参加するはずだったんですが、レコーディング当日に彼は来なく、仕方なくポール一人で全部のパートをやったそうです。イングウェイとポールの共演も聞きたかったですね・・残念・・・・

ジャケットからして楽しそうでしょ？楽しいんです、首をふってもにやけてしまうポールギルバートの爆裂高速ギター。最初から飛ばしまくります、とはいっても単にすべてがへヴィにいくというんじゃなくてミディアムな曲も、インストも随所に盛り込んであきさせない。ポール主導というのがよくわかります。

レーサーXの弱点はやはりヴォーカル（歌メロ）のパターンが大体決まっているのですべてが歌入りだと正直厳しい、やはりこの構成は正解ですね。ポールのレーサーX、ビリーシーンのタラスと個性がすごかったのだなとあらためて感心してしまいます。ポールのギターを三度のメシより好きな方、最近めっきり元気がなくなった方、大音量で聴くことをおすすめします。

Mr.BIGにいたポール・ギルバートとこのアルバムで弾いているポールさんて本当に同じ人？って疑ってしまうほど弾きまくってます。なかなかかっこえ~ですな。他のメンバーもテクニシャン揃いで音的に言うこと無し。楽曲も良いものが揃っていて長いこと楽しめそうです。
