日本の邦楽に、一番元気でノスタルジアを感じる時代・80年代。素晴らしい文化が数多く花開いた時代です。肩の力を抜いて聴ける軽快な、少し外し気味なのが可愛いアイドル歌謡・スピード感溢れるロックンロール等、何処をとっても“良い”の一言。特に、今の時代に一番必要なのが、中森明菜に代表されるツッパリ歌謡。これは、更に昔からあった横浜銀蝿の、ツッパリハイスクールロックンロールに代表される、日本の一大文化、ツッパリの火付け役です。日本は、機械的なテクノサウンドと、ツッパリ歌謡、更にアイドル歌謡により、どんどん楽しく素晴らしい時代に突入して行きます。まさに、日本の歴史に欠かす事の出来ない時代です!是非聴いてみて下さい!!

流行歌に対し、やれ下手だのレベルが低いだのと言い立てるのは野暮天です。青春歌年鑑は、過ぎ去りし青春の日々に回帰するためのツールなんですよ。想い出の曲と共に懐かしくも切ないメモリーが走馬灯のように甦ることでしょう。そして"あの頃の自分"に戻ってただひたすら想い出を反芻しつつ口ずさむ・・・。

"赤いスイートピー"は呉田軽穂の最高傑作。聖子ちゃんの歌声で、中学の頃の片想いのあのコが現れます（私の場合は）。山下達郎がマッチの極狭声域を聞き手に悟られぬよう（絶対無理）、苦心惨憺の末に作り上げた"ハイティーン・ブギ"は一聴の価値ありです（苦笑）。そして渡辺徹の"約束"を聴けば、某チョコレートのＣＭで共演していた１６歳のキョンキョンが鮮やかに甦ることでしょうｗ

　聴いて思うんですが、日本の大衆音楽の最もレベルの低い時期はおそらく1980年代前半でしょうね。カンドー的なぐらいにルックス優先・音痴アイドルが大挙して出てくるのがこの頃です。ピンクレディーならまだ良かったというのがよく分かります。ワタクシは不幸にもこうした厳寒の時代に音楽の洗礼を受けたため、長い間音楽の厳しさを知らずにサザン程度の音楽を聴いてカンドーするという無駄無駄で不毛な時代を送ってしまいました。最近のアイドル音楽も良いとはいえないけど、カラオケが定着したためかもう少し音程は安定しているような気がします。
　閑話休題。最近この頃の稚拙な歌唱・噴飯もののアレンジの音楽を聞くと意外と楽しい事に気が付きました。嘉門達夫などのような「笑わせてやるぜ」という気負いのある音楽よりもずっと笑えていいですね。
