このアルバム、まず曲のクオリティよりも、オーディエンスの盛り上がりっぷりに度肝を抜かれますね。1曲目で7万人もの大観衆がOASIS！ OASIS！と大合唱しているところに脱退してしまったホワイティのドラムと大歓声が鳴り響くのはもう鳥肌モノですね。あと、『シェイカーメイカー』のイントロのギターがちょっと鳴っただけでものすごい歓声が沸きあがる部分など、このバンドのすごさをまざまざと見せ付けられているような気分になります。

肝心の曲のほうも非常にクオリティーが高いです。リアムには過去に二日酔いでステージに立つという前科がありますが、この日の声の調子は絶好調。名曲たちを歌い上げてくれています。『ガス・パニック！』『シガレッツ・アンド・アルコール』での超絶ギターリフ、アクイースでの兄弟の力強いハーモニーなども聴き所ではないでしょうか。

まあいろいろ述べてきましたが、何よりも僕がこのアルバムに関して言いたいのが、ロックンロールを生で感じることができると言うことです。『スタンド・バイ・ミー』や『ドント・ルック・バック・イン・アンガー』での観客を巻き込んだサビの大合唱を聴いていると、ロックの持つ強靭なパワーが生で僕たちの脳幹を揺さぶってくれる感覚になります。そして、ラストギグである『ロックンロール・スター』で、今夜俺はロックンロールスターだと言い放つリアムにオーディエンスが大歓声で答えたとき、“ロックンロール”が、僕たちの心や体を突き抜けていくような感覚にさいなまれます。それはもう、圧巻、の一言です。

とにかく、オアシスの1st,2ndを聴いた人たちは、できればこのアルバムを聴いてみて欲しいです。オアシスのメンバー、7万人のオーディエンス、そして、生の“ロックンロール”が、このアルバムには息づいています。

4thアルバムに伴うツアーのハイライト的な公演を収録。しかし18曲中(ボーナストラック含む)4thからは4曲のみで、後はベスト的な選曲である。
オアシスのライブにおいて最高潮に達する瞬間でもある、「Don't Look Back In Anger」での大合唱も余す事なく収録。ライブ未体験の方は必聴。
しかしこれは完全収録ではない。同タイトルのDVDを見てもらえば「Wonderwall」が明らかにこの日のものではない事がわかる。そのため、星は4つ。
