   ロッタちゃんは、相変わらずがんこでわがままだ。三輪車ではなく自転車に乗りたい！とふくれ、嫌いなお魚は食べたくない！とごねる。兄が湖に落ちたときなど、心配する家族のそばで1人含み笑い…と、ブラックなチビッコぶりも発揮する。ロッタちゃんを演じるグレテ・ハヴネショルドは、オーディションで500人のなかから選ばれ、このシリーズで国民的アイドルになった。（斎藤 香）

今回は夏に向かってアウトドア。食事風景が多く、庭で食べるワッフルがおいしそう。相変わらずロッタは家族に些細なことでインネンをつけてはふくれている。赤い自転車にはブレーキもスタンドもない（これがフツー）。自転車をはじめとして赤色が今回のポイント。また、いつもいっしょの豚のぬいぐるみを「テディ・ベア」だと言い張る。その豚の可愛いこと。北欧の美しい風景の中で5歳の頑固者がすくすく育っている。

カーテンを取り替えるお母さん、花束を手に帰宅するお父さん。北欧の人々の短い春、夏に対する愛着が随所に伺える作品でもあります。薫製のニシンをバケツに泳がせてみたり、お隣の納屋から持ち出した自転車に乗ってみたり、相変わらずのお転婆ぶりもさることながら、北欧の風物が見事に細やかに描写されています。

お兄ちゃんもお姉ちゃんも隣の犬もみんな可愛いんです。
更に今回は夏の美しいスウェーデンの風景が楽しめます。
吹替えも有りますからお子様と一緒に鑑賞もできます。
ちなみに「はじめてのおつかい」よりもこっちの方が先になります。これの「赤い自転車」の話でロッタは５歳になるのです。
