   全644ページに及ぶ絵コンテ、本編で使用された原作を映像化した四コマ漫画全78本（静止画）が収録されるなど、内容も盛りだくさん。音声も2chと5.1chのドルビーデジタル、5.1chDTSでも収録。さらに字幕は日本語字幕だけでなく、英語字幕、フランス語字幕も収録の特典がユニーク。（今泉香織）

映画館でこの作品を観たとき、
登場人物の一挙一動に映画を観ているほぼ全員の人達が老若男女、知人他人関係なく同時にツッコミを入れておりました。（関西圏だからか？）
タイトル通り、隣に住んでそうなおかんとおとん、ばあちゃんに子供たち。それから無愛想な犬。
いやいや、隣どころか自分の家にすでに居そうです。
ケセラセラを超ソプラノで熱唱するおかん！いるよなぁ・・・

コケ説、駄作説多いようですが、
登場人物に見ず知らずの人々が仲良くツッコミいれちゃうような作品、これって駄作ですか？

正直、見る前は全く期待していなかったが、実際見てみると、すごい面白い作品だった。内容は本当に地味なんだが、これがやたらと面白い。ストーリーが濃い映画なんかではない（と思う）ので、何度見ても楽しめる映画だ。（実際７日レンタルで借りた私はほぼ毎日見た。）

『けーせらーせらーなるようになるー♪』の歌がとっても心に残る。この映画を見て1年以上が経ったが、今でも思わず口ずさむ。

見る前は「これがジブリか~？！」と思っていたのですが、見てビックリ☆結構おもしろかったです！！
一言で言えば“庶民的”です！
山田くん家で起こった出来事が淡々とつづられています。
その出来事が「あ~あるある！！」という感じで、我が家の風景とかぶり笑えました。
多分、そういう方は多いのではないでしょうか？

“日本のごく普通の家”が本当にほのぼのとしていて時間がゆっくりと流れる感じがします。
この映画は家族で見るのにオススメです☆笑えますよ☆
