この映画は映像がとても綺麗でした。レオン・ライが歌う歌がいつまでも心に残り、悲しくてはかないレオン・ライとス-・チ-の恋をいっそう引き立てている気がします。どうして二人が結ばれなかったのか不思議なんですか・・・・話の設定が感情移入しやすい映画だと思います。誰にでも昔の恋人に再開したら・・・と思わせるちょっと考えさせられる映画ですね。わたしの観た映画の中でかなりお勧めです。
特にレオン・ライがかなりかっこいいです。

大学時代の恋人たちが、再会して再び愛し合い、そして事故死するところから物語は始まります｡香港返還の夜、交通事故死した二人の子供がお互い憎みあいながらも親の生きた道をたどり、理解しあっていく。不倫というよりは、何故結ばれなかったのかと不思議に思うほどです。

この映画の中で特に興味深いのは、レオンライの息子のキャラクターでしょう。これまでの香港映画にはなかった、アメリカ育ちで香港が嫌いな若者をダニエル・ウーが自然に演じています｡(多分彼自身がアメリカ育ちのはずです)

親達の二人がちょっと年齢的に無理があるのですが、過去と現在を行ったり来たりの演出がとても効果的で、一見の価値があると思います｡

この物語は２つのラブストーリーから成り立っています。
ひとつは７０年代の若者（レオン・ライとスー・チー）のラブストーリー。
もうひとつはその子供達（ダニエル・ウーとニコラ・チャン）です。
７０年代といえば、ほぼ私の両親の世代に当たり、私は経験したことのない時代なのに、何故か無性に懐かしさを感じます。

甘く、ほろ苦くて切ない若い頃の恋愛、見ているうちに７０年代にタイムスリップしている自分に気付きます。
ロマンチックな香港の景色と、ＢＧＭの「Try to remember」に酔いしれて下さい。
