初心者にお勧め、だって最高だから。ファンなら必須、だって「いちご水」が入ってるから。ブランキーの音楽を聴くと体が音をたてて震える時がよくあります。しかもいろいろな曲で。「この曲あまり好きじゃないのに何で？」と思う。この現象が起きた後はその曲が好きになる。なぜか？それは彼達が一切手抜きをしなかった、あのベンジーを理解し共鳴し続けたからだと勝手に思ってます。だからこそ全ての曲に魂がこもっていて、それが今でも燃えている。そして俺を熱くさせてくれる。「日本を代表するバンド」の肩書きは嘘じゃない！断言する、このバンドを越す奴等もう出ない！胸のもやもやをどこにぶつけていいかわからない人、最近の音楽が大嫌いな奴、死にたいと思ってる人、とにかく一度聴いてみようよ。彼等が優しく時に激しく包みこんでくれるぜ。

LAST DANCE公演前 ブランキーの公式掲示坂に「いちご水が聞きたい」という書き込みが多かったそうです。かなりのレア曲で、この曲じたい知らない人も多く、私も勿論知りませんでした。いくらファンからの書き込みが多いからといって、あの音楽に真面目な3人が、じゃあ演ろう、とてもイメージできませんよね。
LAST DANCE2日目、「ディズニーランドへ」の後,達也さんがドラムの調子が悪いのか、かなりイライラしていて、しばらく沈黙状態が続き、突然ベンジーの優しいギターの音が...。そう、「いちご水」です。あの3人ファンのこと大切にしてるんですね、会場中が薄いピンク色に染まり、3人ともまるで少年のような表情で演奏していました。
後に発売されたこの白版にも収録せれ、「15才」、「水色」と肩を並べるくらい人気のある曲になりました。私は、白版はこの曲のために買ったようなものですが、それだけの価値がある曲だと思っています。
彼女と別れたとき、好きな人に告白して振られた時、よくこの「いちご水」を聞いていました。「消えてくれないか、今すぐ、僕の目の前から今すぐ、死ぬほどおまえを愛しているから」まさに、このフレーズと同じ気持ちでした。

デビューからの5年間分のブランキーが聴けるベスト。個人的には黒盤が好きなのですが、やっぱりこっちもまた違うブランキーが詰まっているので捨てがたいです。特に好きなのは「幸せの鐘~」です。曲の展開がすごくて最初はなんだかついていけないぐらいでした。間奏のジャズのようなホーンが入るところがすごく新鮮で、聴けば聴くほど好きになる曲です。いろいろなジャンルの音楽が少しずつミックスされているのがすごく楽しい！
