　オアシスとは違って、このブラーのベスト盤は本当のベスト盤と言える。しかし、ブラーの代表曲である「ガールズ＆ボーイズ」の日本語訳は明らかに間違えている。ドナルド・フェイゲンが「センチュリーズ・エンド」で世紀末の、資本に翻弄される愛を描いたのだとするならば、「ガールズ＆ボーイズ」でブラーは９０年代に表面化したジェンダーの混乱した中における愛を描いているのだ。ここに‘正解’を記しておこう。

　偏執的になってきている
　日当たりのいいビーチで

ぼくはもともとブラーをよく知らなくてこのアルバムを聴きました。いい！ポップな曲が多くとてもノリノリになりました。最初から最後まで一気に聴けますよ~オアシスに勝ったブラーはスゴイ！というのがよくわかるとおもいます。

「ビートルズ再来」とまで言われてデビューしたイギリス出身の４人組、
ブラー待望のベストアルバム。
なつかしのヒット曲から新曲まで収録されている。
また、ブックレットにはPVのひとコマも載っていて、かわいいミルクマンも
見られる。
静かなロックで、のんびり聴きたい一枚。
