内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

オリジナル・アルバムとしては珍しい2枚組。「僕は行くよ」で始まり「帰り道」で終わる、“行きと帰り”と名づけられたDisc 1と、「はじめぼくはひとりだった」で始まり「何もなかった日」で終わる“はじめとおわり”と名づけられたDisc 2という構成。全21曲で、友部正人、内田勘太郎、木村充揮、新井田耕造ら豪華ゲストを迎えた大作だが、各々の楽曲自体には大げさで絢爛豪華なハデさはなく、むしろとてもさりげない曲たち。同様に演奏も彼の歌も、肩の力の抜けたリラックスした雰囲気で、とてもラクに聴ける。
タイトルの『旅路』といい、各ディスクにつけられたサブ・タイトル的な“行きと帰り”“はじめとおわり”といい、内面的には決して軽々しいものではないことは推測される。が、表に出てきたものはとてもシンプルで素朴で、ふわっと温かい。ほのぼのしたものさえ感じさせる、耳に心に優しい作品だ。 (角野恵津子) --- 2000年11月号

本当にすばらしいアルバムです。
ブルーズであり、ロックであり、ソウル。彼の音楽に対する愛情がひしひしと伝わってきます。音楽を愛してないとこんな風には絶対歌えないし弾けないはず。ギター好きなら一度は聴いてみて欲しい！

ちょっと昔に地元長崎のとあるライブ居酒屋で三宅氏のライブを見ました。趣味のバンドでドラム打っているもんでリズム等の勉強も兼ねて仕事以外での時間の許す限り色々なミュージシャンのライブに有名無名有料無料関係なく出掛けますが三宅さんのライブは人柄が音に出ていて居心地良いライブでした。垂れ流しの音楽では無い本当に良い音楽は何でか売れないもんで摩訶不思議です?タイトル通り旅人の足跡のブルーズです。まぁ〜三宅氏本人売れるに越した事は無いが売れないならそれも仕方ないか?って私の個人的考えですがそう思います。但しこの作品には大満点ですから、それが一番ミュージシャン冥利に尽きると思いますので皆々様方に大々的に御薦めします。人それぞれに旅路が在り!

1曲目からテンポよく無理せずドライブしている感じが自然に心地よく響いてきます。この人のもっている人柄が音楽に表れています。苦しい顔をしてギター弾く人が多い中、笑顔でギター弾く人No１ですね。歌詞もよく、キーワードは「月」「風」など…。イイですよ。それにギターの音は芯があります。このアルバムの中ジャケットや裏などいろいろな所で電話をしている場面のショットがあります。多分その中の1ショットは彼が故郷でライブをした時に地元の公衆電話から家に電話しているのではないか？と勝手な想像してしまいました。だってタイトルは「旅路」だから。
