「草原の輝き」は、作詞・橋本淳、作曲・井上忠夫、
そして、編曲・筒美京平という布陣で挑んだ
壮大で豪華な名曲ですが、このアルバムに入っているもののみ
＜ＣＢＳバージョン＞と呼ばれる、「筒美氏のオーケストラアレンジ」を前面に押し出したダイナミック・バージョン。

他のブル・コメのアルバムに入っている「草原の輝き」は

バンドの演奏を前面に押し出したバージョンとなっており、
ファンの間では、圧倒的にパワフルな＜ＣＢＳバージョン＞に
人気が集まっているのです。

私はこの一曲のために、この２枚組ＣＤを買いました。
マニアとはそういうものなのです。。。

ちなみに、ＧＳ時代に、筒美京平氏は、アレンジだけの仕事も
けっこうこなしています。

が、傑作と呼べるのは!、この「草原の輝き」と、
スパイダースの「真珠の涙」（作詞・橋本淳、作曲・かまやつひろし）
の２曲ぐらいだと思います。
