このＣＤは、アメリカ人の友人が大好きで、勧められて聞きましたが、ピチカートファイブが、好きになりました。その音楽センスがすごく良いと思いました。リズム感もあるし、特に間奏の盛り上がりがすごくて、独特の世界だなと思いました。電子的な音だと思うのですが、無機的ではなく、とても豊かな表現になっているような気がします。聞いていると、元気になってくるし、気持ちも盛り上がってきますよ。何と言っても、カッコイイなあという音楽だと思います。

たぶん間違いなく、日本のＪＰＯＰを代表して、海外できわめて評価の高いのは、ピチカートだ。
イマジネーションに富んだメロディーとリズム。
あらゆるポップの要素をこれでもかとひとつの型にはまらず展開していく。
小西氏は、卓越した音楽的引き出しの数とそれを組み合わせていく天才肌の持ち主だ。また、野宮さんのボーカルは澄んで透明で驚くほどニュートラルだ。この二つが融合し、さまざまな形と色を組み合わせた絵画的な音楽がペイントされていく。この素晴らしい独特の存在感そのものがピチカートだ。
海外では、この日本語の歌詞も評価が高い。野宮さんの透明な日本語は素晴らしくピチカートを違う存在感にしている。海外で評価が高いために、英語で歌う必要などまったく無いのである。意味がある特徴はそれをもっと輝かせるのである。商業的路線で売れそうな線で作るのでない、クリエーターが音楽を作った、そしてファンの支持が強烈にある、まさに音楽そのもののあるべき姿がここには存在している。
ほかの方も、書いておられるが、こう考えるたびにピチカートの解散は本当に悲しくなるほど無念である。

やっぱり、「ピチカート５」好きなら要チェキ！
ですね。気分が落ち込んだ時にいつも元気にさせてもらってます。
このＣＤは、レコーディング風景がナレーションと共に編集されていて
音楽だけのＣＤとは違った面白さもありオススメです！
