内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

スティーヴ・スティーヴンス(g/ビリー・アイドル他)、トニー・レヴィン(b/キング・クリムゾン他)、テリー・ボジオ(ds/UK他)というそうそうたるメンツによるスーパー・インストゥルメンタル・ユニットの約3年ぶりとなるセカンド・アルバム。前作では、事前にまったく下準備をすることなく、完全に即興のジャム・セッションにてたった4日間でレコーディングを終えたとのことだったが、一方今作では、1週間の“曲作り”のプロセスを経てからレコーディングに臨むというまったく違ったアプローチが取られたのだという。とはいえ、何曲かではアンサンブル以上にインタープレイが炸裂しているのは事実で、プレイヤー志向のリスナーには、ロックやジャズ、フュージョンといったジャンルを超えてアピールするであろうことは間違いない。フラメンコ風のアコースティックな楽曲も耳を引くが、時折、モロにキング・クリムゾン的なフレーズや展開が飛び出すのも面白い。 (奥村裕司) --- 2000年09月号

一曲めがどんなに良いのかでアルバムのスケールが決まるんなら、こいつはでっかいです。ジャストでわんわん言わせる３人は、今更うまいとか言うの野暮なくらい、実績抜群。このアルバムも前作同様わりかし落ち着いた部分ありますが、少しだけ暴れてきた感じ。そろそろ打ち解けてきたのか？一曲めのインパクトに負けないゆるい曲もあり、すかさずボジオがチャイナをイレてます。1枚目よりずっとおすすめ。

２０００年リリースの超絶技巧トリオによるセカンドアルバム・・・きっとファーストで手ごたえを感じたのでしょう、息のあった超絶技巧を繰広げています。テリーボジオ（Ｄｓ）・トニーレヴィン（Ｂ・Ｓｔｉｃｋ）・スティーブスティーブンス（Ｇ）によるテンション漲るインストアルバムに仕上がっています・・・今回はリハーサルが出来たということで、楽曲の充実度が高くよく練られています。テリーのドラムはもう最高、なんと言ってもトニーレヴィンのプレイが光っています・・・素晴らしいリズムセクション！！想像以上にスティーブのギターがうまくて、見直しました・・・ルックスで誤解されやすいし・・・。プログレッシブな香りを感じさせながら、グルーブ感ある演奏は本当見事・・・必聴のアルバムです！！

trrrrr.trrrrr.ガチャ。
「あっ、トニー？ツアーお疲れ。またやろうよ。
すぐテリーも来れそうなんだ。お、大丈夫。じゃ、待っているから。」
と気の合う仲間がそれぞれに仕事して、ちょっとした合間に集まって
これだけの“モノ”を仕上げてしまう恐ろしさ。
単なるインスピレーションだけでは出来そうにない曲ばかり。
３人全員の音楽という名の大きなタンスの引き出しの多さと
その中身がすべて良いものばかりという処に恐れ入るばかり。
