赤川次郎原作、深田恭子初主演の青春ミステリーのサントラ。「ドビュッシーじゃ殺せない」というキャッチコピーの通り、溝口肇によるクラシック調の重厚な音楽が付けられている。音楽はゴールドスミス風の曲やバーナード・ハーマン風の曲もあったりとおもしろい。詳しい資料がないのでわからないがピアノ・ソロは深田恭子? たしか製作発表でそんなことを言っていたが。ラストにいきなりディストーションの効いたギターが出てきて驚くが、深田恭子が歌う主題歌「How~」だった。CDエクストラ仕様。 (竹之内円) --- 2000年10月号

ﾘﾘｰｽから数年経過しているが、ｸｵﾘﾃｨの高さは十分。
当時ﾃﾞｳﾞｭｰしたてのｱｲﾄﾞﾙ、ﾌｶｷｮﾝを主役に赤川次郎の原作を映像化した
もの。
封入されているﾌﾞｯｸﾚｯﾄに写る彼女の可愛さは、それはそれは素晴らしく
ｵｼﾞｻﾝの心も思わずｷｭﾝとなってしまうのであった。

本編映像は未見。

溝口氏のｽｺｱは、過去に学園で起きた悲劇のﾗｳﾞ･ｽﾄｰﾘｰに現代の殺人事件が
絡まれていく、その脇を本当に切なく優しげに包むような、また寄り添いながら
ﾉｽﾀﾙｼﾞｱの世界に浸らせてくれる。

比較的少人数のｵｰｹｽﾄﾚｰｼｮﾝを使いながらも、あくまで清潔に静謐に。

ﾌｶｷｮﾝ彼女が当時、持っていた潤うような瞳とあどけない表情の
ｲﾒｰｼﾞをそのまま音楽化したような、しっとりしたｽｺｱ。

映像本編のせいもあるが、やや重みというか深みが少なく、
ﾗｽﾄ3曲（ﾌｶｷｮﾝが歌う「how」は除く）のｸﾗｲﾏｯｸｽに全て収斂されていくので
他のﾄﾗｯｸが薄い印象になってしまう。

可憐な少女たちが通う学園で起きる殺人事件、そしてそれにまつわる過去の
悲恋。それに思いを馳せる少女。

それを思い描くとき、やはりBGMはこのｽｺｱになるだろう。
