羅針盤はyolatengoのライブの前座に出ていたときに見たことはあったが、
ソングラインがここまですばらしいとはおもわなかった。
いいCDは人に黙って自分だけで楽しみたいという人間の私が
これだけは多くの人に聞いて欲しいと思いました。

羅針盤の音楽は山本精一の類稀な音楽センスから生み出される微妙な「バランス感覚」の上で成り立っているように思う。本作はそのエッセンスが十分に発揮された傑作。「がれきの空」から「羅針盤」まで、コンピレーションアルバムのような非常に素晴らしい一体感をキープしつつ音が繋いである。特に五曲目以降の曲の良さは特筆すべき点だろう。「羅針盤」は素朴でありながら、何度も聴きたくなる名曲。
　ノスタルジックであり、何故か心の琴線に触れるような音のバランス感覚。気持ちのいいサウンドであるのは間違い無い。ぜひとも多くの人に触れてほしい作品のひとつである。
