ひとつひとつの音がたまらなく濃厚で「美味しい！」
輪郭のはっきりした自己主張の強い音達がお互いを侵食し合う事無く共存しています。
音と音の隙間が浮き立つ事で立体感を感じさせる仕上がり。

音響系作品にありがちな「ごった煮鍋」ではなく、少ないが上質な食材を丁寧に調理し、ひとつひとつの味が際立ちながらも共存する事でトータルでひとつの料理になるような・・・そんなアルバムです。

１曲目”オーヴァーチャー”で耳を通り抜けて脳の中をうごめきながら移動する音に快感を覚えた瞬間からこの料理はあなたを虜にするでしょう。

そして時間の経過と共に現れては消える音達を楽しみながら最後に現れる曲、アルバムタイトルであり、曲順としての最後でもある８曲目”フィナーレ”の美しさが圧巻。「終わらずにいつまでもこの音が続いて欲しい」という願いが芽生える程。

これがファッションショーで使われる事の「自由度」にも思わずワクワク。

村上隆氏によるジャケット・アートも素晴らしい。

各曲のタイトルを綜合して「夜の水族館」。これで決まると思う。
〈閉館〉の刻限からアルバムは正に始まる。喧騒は遠退いていった、やがては灯も落ちた。静寂の中を魚は躍る。鈍い魚や、鮮やかな魚――すこし仄明るいだけの館内。鈍い青の揺らめき。ひとけなさ。やがて夜は深まる。深闇、色とりどりの魚たちは、大いなる夜の眠りにいざなわれる――。
はぁ言うに事欠いて、竹村延和をダシにして詩情を連ねる私って、わりと野暮。
