Japanese remastered reissue of the Japanese psych/hard rock act's 4th & final album. Previously issued as a single CD, this double CD version tacks on the missing 17-minute live-studio version of 'Satori Pt. 2'. Recorded live in Sep. 1972.

’７３年発表、へヴィーでハードな傑作です。
ＣＤ２枚組み、ライブ録音とスタジオ録音で構成されていますが、ライブ録音は音がとてもクリアで演奏も収録を意識してなのか、とても丁寧です。ミックス時にギターなどをかぶせて楽曲の完成度を高くしているのでライブ録音に聞こえず、スタジオ録音の楽曲との違和感はありません。
１曲目ライブ収録曲から彼ら流のへヴィーな音空間が展開されます。地響きがするような低音を強調したベースのリフを核に、アームを多用して神秘的なフレーズを奏でるギター、シンプルで重いドラム、音をひとつづつ拾うように唄う端正なボーカル、空間の広がりを感じさせるキーボードが渾然一体となって聞き手に迫ってきます。
２曲目もライブ収録ですが、とてもよくまとまったハードロックとなっています。彼らの代表曲で、完成度の高い楽曲です。
３曲目はゆったりとリラックスしたフォークロック、４曲目はスタジオ収録で完成度の高いよくまとまったハードロックですが、最大の聞き物は５曲目ライブ収録「Shadows of Lost Days」でしょう。
ブルース臭の強いへヴィーな楽曲ですが、石間秀樹のギターが卓越したテクニックで説得力のある泣けるフレーズを連発しています。後半、ド迫力でシャウトするボーカルとともに盛り上がりが最高潮に達し、楽曲が終了します。
６曲目は単純なコード進行のなかで彼らのユニークで確かな作曲センスとジョー山中の歌唱力が堪能できるゆったりとした楽曲です。
ＣＤ２枚目はライブ収録で彼らのユニークでどろどろとした怪しげな音世界をこれでもかというほど味わえます。
日本ではまだロックバンドが商業的に成立できない時代に、イギリスやアメリカのハードロックとは違う質感を持った良質なハードロック作りに真摯に取り組んだ日本人バンドの誇り高いアルバムだと思います。

多分忘れられていくんでしょうが、日本のロック史に極めて特異な位置を占める名作です。日本のロックといえば、どうしても民俗音楽を取り入れたり安易な手法に行きがちでありますが、このグループは早くから海外に出て武者修行をやったおかげで、自然と海外がとらえる日本らしさを表わすようになったと個人的に思っております。実に摩訶不思議な世界が繰り広げられそれが決して自己満足に陥ることなく素晴らしいロックの世界となっております。石間秀樹のなんといもいえないからみつくようなギターとジョー山中の絶叫的ハイトーンボーカルいいですね。皆さんが知っている日立キドカラーのＴＶＣＭの「メイク・アップ」だけでなくほかの曲も聞きものがおおいです。裕也さんの「ブルー・スェード・シューズ」はご愛嬌。今は亡きブルコメの井上忠夫さんがジャケットに写っております。当時の有志の応援で成り立った名作です。

前バージョンのＣＤには、アナログ盤に収録されていた SATORI Pt.2 がしっかり収められている。（1972年9月16日 横須賀文化会館 でのライブ）
