学生時代、LPを買ったのが一番最初で、
88年に出た「純金蒸着」やその後の値段変更盤など、
なんだかんだ言って、マスタリングが変わることを期待して、
3~4回買ったこのアルバムだが、やはりいつ聴いても良い。
山下達郎のコーラスワークももちろんだが、
竹内まりやの持つ特徴的な声と、詩と曲の世界の中に、
非常に鮮烈な印象を持たせる効果を感じるこのCDは、
ほんとにいつ聴いても良い。
たぶん「女性が表現する女の子の視点での世界を書かせたらNo.1」と、
私が勝手に思っている人なので、（ちなみに「男性が表現する女の子の視点での世界を書かせたらNo.1」は松本隆）
そう思っている部分もあるのかも知れないが、
とにかく、表現力がすばらしい。
このアルバムは、山下達郎と結婚するために、
休業をしていた竹内まりやの再デビューアルバムで、
レコーディング前に、竹内まりやから、
「今まで書き溜めていた曲を聴いて欲しい」と、
デモを渡したことが発端らしい。
それまで、作家に発注していたものを、
すべてキャンセルして、このアルバムは作られたわけだが、
その判断は正解だったと思う。
かなり長期にわたって、作家もアーチストもやっているが、
ひとつずつの作品に、詩や曲に古さを感じない。
今、このアルバムを聴いても、詩や曲が、
非常に耳に入りやすい形の曲である。
やはりいいものはいいと思える、アルバムである。

かつて安っぽいカーオーディオでテープが伸びるまで聴いた名作！！自信を持って勧められるアルバムです。これと「リクエスト」はマスト。
バックの演奏も打ち込み少なめで良い感じです。

旦那さん（山下達郎氏)と結婚前のアツ・アツのころの作品！
彼の味つけが目立つ。聴けばプロデューサーが達郎氏だと頷ける。
ギター、コーラス・・・と達郎氏も色々と参加している。
参加ミュージシャンも達郎氏や彼女と縁がある人達ばかり。
全曲ともにポップな感じがすると思う。
マージー・・は涙の出る曲・・！
購入しても損はしないでしょう。
