すでに公開された映画が、続編の影響で再び売れ出すといった流れはよくあることですが、サントラがそうなるとはさすがマトリックスといったところでしょうか。

しかし、マトリックスのサントラは構成が素晴らしく、世界観をよりわかりやすくする作用も持っていますのでこうした傾向にも納得はいきますね。

映画ではラストのエンドロールにかかる「ロック・イズ・デッド」がサントラでは最初になっています。
日本でも一気に知られることになったマリリン・マンソンですが、やはりああいったアンチな匂いが全体的に流れています。

こうして聞いてみると日本のゲーム音楽にもいくらか通じるところがあり、このあたりの文化交流を意識してしまいますね。

こうしたサントラで使われているロックについて!専門に語る人もいますけれど、日本もアメリカもロックもゲームも同じ人間が楽しんでいるものですから、あまり難しく考える必要はないと思いますね。

映画公開時見に行ったときの行き帰りの車のなかではこのＣＤを聴いて盛り上がっていたわけです。

改めて聞き直すとこの曲映画で使われてたかなーっていうのもありますが。
ＣＭに使用された曲もあります。
