ユージンの乾いた声、フランシスの可愛い声、安っぽいファズサウンド、そんな音で皆自由に演っているホントに楽しそうなバンドです。

NIRVANAもカヴァーした7曲目、カートいわく「教会の賛美歌のような曲だ」と言った曲をはじめセンスの良さが感じられます。

ぜひ一度聞いてみてください。

ヴァセリンズの音源はおそらくこれだけで揃うので、興味があったら聴いてみるといいと思います。
nirvanaのカヴァーによって有名になったみたいですが、かなりポップな路線。
豊富なアイデアが詰まっており、男女ツインボーカルでシンプルな曲構成、非常に気持ちのいい作品です。

もちろん自分もニルヴァーナをきっかけに知ったクチです。
あきらかにプロではないだろうという演奏、ユージン＆フランシスの歌声もフワフワしていて、曲全体の音量のバランスも良いんだか悪いんだかよくわかりませんが、聴いた後に残るのそんな感覚をまとめては押し込んでくるような曲の良さ。『曲』がひたすら良いです。
あえて言うならハノイ・ロックスの1st的な感覚でしょうか？（あくまで自分的には）
演奏がうまい人、歌がうまい人はたくさんいるでしょう、でもヴァセリンズにもハノイ・ロックスにもなれないんです！！大げさになってきたのでこのくらいに・・・
7.『ジーザス〜』は本当に名曲、アンプラグドで演ったニルヴァーナのセンスにも改めて脱帽。
本当に良い作品、良いバンド（ユニット？）です！
