とにかく弾きまくりです。クラプトン節が炸裂したアルバムです。
特に5.FIVE LONG YEARS と 16.GROANING THE BLUES はかなりきてます。たとえ机で本を読んでいても、この曲が流れ、ソロに入ると嫌でもスピーカーの方を見てしまいます。もしあなたがギターを弾けるかたなら、即愛用のギターを持ちそのセッションに参加せざる得なくなります。というより参加を要請されます（笑

さて他にも聞きどころはあります。
2.THIRD DEGREE これは渋い。いい雰囲気のブルースです。

3.RECONSIDER BABY これ指で弾いてます。
13.SOMEDAY AFTER A WHILE 結構クラプトン節炸裂してます。一ヶ所そんなチョーキングありかい！ってとこあります（笑
15.DRIFTING クラシックギターでこんな渋く弾けるんだ~、そんな曲です。

このアルバムはクラプトンのようにギターを弾けるようになりたい、と思ってる人にはもってこいのアルバムです。ビデオ「ライブ・イン・ハイドパーク」をクラプトンと同じようにある程度弾けるようになったら、このアルバムも十分耳コピできると思います。

とにかくこのアルバムは、演奏が完璧です。　　ギターの神様と言われ続けたクラプトンのギターは勿論の事、他のメンバーの演奏もすごく良いです。　　どこがすごいのか理解しがたい人にとっては、良くわからないと思いますがあの表現力の凄さはクラプトンにしか出来ないと思います。　　本当にブルース一辺倒なのでブルースファンには、たまらないアルバムですが反面、ブルースが苦手な人が聴いていると眠くなってしまうかもしれません。　　大抵音楽というのは何度も繰り返し聴いていると飽きてきてしまいますが、このアルバムは演奏が素晴らしいので、飽きるとか飽きないとかのレベルではありません。何度も何度も聴いて、各楽器のパートの演奏の素晴らしさを堪能して欲しいです。　　このアルバムに限らず、演奏が素晴らしいものは何度聴いても飽きませんよね。一生懸命聴きたい人にオススメです。

クラプトンはいわゆるギターの神様として有名ですが、本人はそうしたレッテルが嫌で自らの音楽志向とのギャップに苦しんでました。そのギターの神という肩書きから外れた作風（ヴォーカルパートを引き立てる）をソロで確立していきますがそれに対する不満（古いファンの）も当然ありました。本作はそうした見方を一掃するだけの迫力の作品です。

全曲ブルース曲のカヴァーでオリジナル志向の人には不満かもしれないですがそれをも補う圧倒的な力強さは聴きモノです。1曲目のヘヴィーなスライドギターと彼の凄い声には脱帽です。彼の壮絶な神業ギターが５などで堪能でき、ロックファンが彼に入門する作品としては本作は最適だと思います。ブルースの静と動が巧みに表現されてるのでブルース自体への入門に
