良くもないです。ロック色もなくブルースも効かず。まったく魅力が感じられません。カリフォルニアの明るさを！というわけではありませんが、ロックして欲しかったです。疲れている、落ち込んでいるならはっきりそうやってほしかった。音楽として不完全燃焼、一番やってほしくなかったです。

元VAN HALENのDAVID LEE ROTHのソロアルバムです。
前作、A LITTLE AIN'T ENOUGHの売上不振の影響もあって、よりブルージーな方向性で新たな活路を模索した一枚です。
メロディも演奏も歌唱も、良い水準にあると思います。
ただ、これまでのアルバムにあったような勢いや華やかさが排除されている為に、これまでのイメージとはガラッと変わった感じは否めなく、人によっては地味に感じるかもしれません。
ただ、彼独特の歌いまわしや世界観は息を潜めることなく十分に発揮されています。
他のアルバムと比べると異色な存在という意見もあるこのアルバムですが、聴くほどに味を増す、良い一枚だと思います。
