この映画には、主人公アレックスが好きなベートーベンを始めとするクラシックと、「雨に歌えば」など懐かしい感じのポップスが使われています。私は、リアルタイムでは聞いていないけど・・・。それが、ウォルター・カルロスの電子音楽とあいまって、とてもおしゃれな感じがします。あの、映画の独特な未来感に浸れるので気に入ってます。。。。

普通、映画のサントラというと劇中どこで使われたか判らない曲が１、２曲はあるものだがこの映画は音楽が重要なファクターだけあって聞いただけで場面が思い浮かぶ。中盤のトラックによってはクラシックの名曲盤かとも思えるが、まぎれも無いオリジナルサウンドトラックでありＤＶＤをリピート視聴しているようなファンには必須アイテムであろう。

カーロスはかのシンセサイザーの先駆であるムーグと関係していた事もあるそうで緊張のシンセ・オープニングと弛緩のエンディング、名曲「雨に唄えば」でまるで映画を観ているような感じを受ける。

キューブリックの作品群ではもっともその意図するところがわかりやすい映画のひとつだと思います。
暴力というものは様々な種類があるんだなと思わずにはいられない作品です。

映画に使用された音楽で印象深いものは「雨に歌えば」でしょう。
主人公が凶行の際に口ずさみ、後々の伏線にも使用されるあの名曲です。

ここでの音楽の使われ方はひどく残忍で、どんな音楽でも一瞬にしてその性格を変えることができることを示しています。
そのことは後に「交響曲第9番「合唱」 ~第4楽章」の使われ方にも現れ、キューブリックのセンスの怖さをうかがい知ることができます。

とはいえ、映画を楽しまれた方にはわかるかと思いますが、サントラとして特別目新しいものではなく、使われている曲もわりと知られている曲も多いので購入するかどうかは、好きかどうかだけですね。
