天才的なメロディメーカーの代表作。昨今コンピレーションやカバーでこの曲へスポットが当るたび、このコンポジションの流れるような自然さに至上の心地よさを覚えます。そして同時に槇原氏の曲の特徴である旋律と強く結びついた言葉のストーリー性も、やはり今作でも同様に最後まで楽曲にひきこまれる点です。

「どんなときも」もそうでしたが、彼の曲には彼の伝えたいメッセージの強い衝動が濃密につまっており、一気に言葉と旋律とを同時に生み出すような、両者の切っても切り離せないシンクロ性の強さを感じさせる作品が多いです。分業体制から仕上がるシステマチックな曲ではなかなか起こらない、この相乗しあう歌詞と旋律（そしてそれを吹かす彼の透明で温かい声）が槇原楽曲の優れた点のように私は感じてきました。

この「もう恋なんてしない」もAメロからBメロへのバトン、そしてサビの階段を登り主題を鳴らす構成は、水を流すように美しく、旋律を聞いてるだけで心模様が伝わってきます。そしてその音型へリンクする言葉たちの風景の色。淋しくセンチメンタルな描写のＡメロから、心の動きが綴られ始めるＢメロへ、心のざわめきはコードに表れ、そのまま気持ちが加速しサビメロの主題へ。歌声もいつしかメゾフォルテからフォルテです。
音と言葉が共通の目的のために本当に一緒になって動く楽曲、そんな印象が槇原氏の楽曲にはあります。心で叫びたい景色が鮮やかに音楽に変わり、その温度を伝えてくる、だから彼は凄く心に響くメロディメーカーなんじゃないだろうかと思わせる代表曲でした。

この曲は初期の頃の彼のものですが、個人的にはこの曲がとても好きです。
この曲をまた新たに発売してもいけるのではないかと思っています。
