本作は大半はシャラが作曲、歌詞はいつもどおりマーシーです。

クレジットからシャラの意気込みが伺えるようです。

「トレチャリー」以降のアースシェイカーはマーシーとトシの作品がメインとなり、歌謡曲な部分や時代に合わせた音作りをおこなっていて個人的にはアリかなと感じながらも、迷走期だなと言われてました。

恐らく本作で彼等は本来のシェイカーらしさを出そうとしたと思います。

しかし、私は良い意味で裏切られました。

初期のシェイカーとはまた違う魅力と言いますか、とにかくここ最近の作品よりは遥かに解放感があり力強いです。
勿論マーシーの声を生かしたメロウな曲もあります。

最高傑作かどうかは判断に迷いますが、アースシェイカーの歴史の中では外す事は出来ない作品ではないでしょうか?

当時は初回盤のみにSAY GOODBYEの英語バージョンが収録されてました。

ここからアースシェイカーの快進撃かと思いきや、当時深夜にやっていた「タモリの音楽は世界だ」にゲスト出演し、電撃的な解散宣言をしたのには驚きました。
