私がはじめてこのCDを手に取ったきっかけは、当時通っていた中学校で、「今月のクラスの歌」として「遠く遠く」を歌い、「いい歌だなぁ」と思ったことでした。すぐにカセットに吹き込み、カセットウォークマンで何度も聞いたことを思い出します。
私自身、アルバム全ての曲が好きなことはめったにないのですが、このアルバムは、その「めったにない」の一つです。
初めての出会いからはや10年以上が経過し、音楽を録音するメディアも、進化しました。MD、CD-RW、そして現在愛用中のipod miniに、このアルバムは入っています。春になれば、「遠く遠く」、木枯らしが吹けば、「冬がはじまるよ」・・・、いつも、私の傍に、このアルバムはあります。

もう10数年前になりますが、当時毎日聴いていたアルバムです。
今聴くと当時の事が鮮やかに思い出される、印象深い一枚。
アルバムとしての完成度も高く　どれをとっても素敵な曲ばかり。
なんといっても歌詞がいい（もちろん曲も！）。心にジ~ンとくる
フレーズが誰にでもいくつかあるのではないかと思います。
アルバムタイトルでもある『君は僕の宝物』という曲は特に感動。
このアルバムで“槇原さんってすごく繊細で優しい人に違いない”
と思ったものです。
お部屋で一人静かに過ごしたい時のBGMなんかにピッタリですよ。

　このアルバムから13年か。今改めて聴くとめちゃくちゃクオリティ高くてびっくりしちゃいます。この時点で22､3歳か。アレンジ、作詞、作曲、ボーカル全部こなしちゃうんだから凄い。しかも、そのどれもが独自性があった上で一級品。J-POP史のポップスの職人という観点で語れば、山下達郎以来の才能だ。ポップスってクオリティだけでは語れないと思うんだけど、彼の歌には人柄を感じさせるところがあって、それが音楽をよりあったかいものにしていると思う。
　最近のJ-POP聴くならこういう出来の良い昔のCD聴けばいいのにと思っていたら、ベスト盤が好調ですね。このアルバムのシングル以外の曲も絶品ですよ♪
