最近再び注目を浴びているマッキーの原点を知るアルバム。発売直後に購入して、「ANSWER」「80km/hの気持ち」「NG」「北風」が大好きで、ハートがふるえるというか、胸がしめつけられるというか、不思議な感覚を味わいました。

何度も何度も、ウォークマンで聞いたことを覚えています。当時、大学１年で、いろいろと辛いことや哀しいことがあった時に、ずいぶんと癒されたものでした。

曲に透明な若さと少し素人っぽい初々しさが感じられるこのアルバムは、マッキーのヒット曲しか知らないけれど、マッキーが好きだという方々には、ぜひ聞いて欲しい。

僕が小学生だった頃、確かケンタッキーのCMで「どんなときも」が
ブラウン管から流れてきました。そして「ねえねえ、まきはらのりゆきのどんなときも買ってきてえええ」
と親に頼んだ結果、このCDを間違って買ってきたのでありました。
そこからマッキーが僕の人生で鳴り始めました。
とにかく歌詞が覚えやすかったというか、その歌詞の場面が浮かぶ

というか、今でもそらでうたえるぐらいです。
それは全体的にマッキーの曲に言えることですね。
今と比べると声の感じが違います。また暗い印象があります。
「どんなときも」のジャケまで続いた切り絵も
くらあい印象を増幅しているのかなあ（好きだけど）。
歌詞カードの中を見ると遠目で「あれ、カルロス・トシキ？」

と間違えるようなマッキーが写ってたような（私だけ？）。
全部好きだけど個人的に「桜坂」「君を抱いたら」好きです。
とにかくしっとりゆったりしたアルバムです。
んで、最後の「北風」でルンルンです。

「どんなときも」などでヒットする前の槇原敬之のファーストアルバム。
全体的にはかなりシットリとした大人な感じの内容です。
1「ANSWER」
　　→せつないピアノメロディーから入るラブバラード。
2「RAIN DANCE MUSIC」
　　→『SMILING３』に英語バージョンが収録されていてそちらもお勧め！
3「80km/h」
　　→槇原らしい三角関係のラブソング。

4「12月の魔法」
　　→伴奏、バックコーラスどれをとっても冬らしい曲。
5「桜坂」
　　→このアルバムの中で一番せつないラブソングです。泣けます…。
6「CLOSES TO YOU」
　　→これも『SMILING３』に英語バージョンで収録されています。
10「北風」
　　→このアルバムで一番のお勧め曲です。クリスマスソングですね。
がお勧めです。

どの曲も槇原らしいやさしい感じの曲がばかりです。癒されたいときは是非！

　全体的におとなしく、落ち着いた感じの曲。しかし決して重くなく、さわやかで透き通っている。聴き込むほど増す存在感。淡白なようで、しっかりと芯のある一枚です。
