このＣＤは映画の中でも重要なシーンのほとんどの音楽が含まれていてとてもよかった。しかし、期待していたメインテーマの「トゥモロー・ネバー・ダイ」とエンディングテーマの「サレンダー」が含まれていなかったのが残念だったが、このＣＤは全体的にバランスが取れていて、買ってよかったと思う。

O.S.T.として発売されているものには、映画で使用された曲が、全て収録されておらず中途半端な印象だったが、このCDは、その残された曲を総て網羅されている、まさに決定版。主題歌とEDテーマが収録されいないとは言え、こちらをO.S.T.と称するべきでしょう。「トゥモロー~」「ワールド~」「ダイアナザー~」とD.アーノルドが、手掛けた作品の中で最もJ.バリー色が強い作品に仕上がっているのでオールドファンにも聴き易いハズ。特にO.S.T.に含まれなかった最後の曲は、非常に感動的！又、アーノルド氏のインタヴューも収録してあり、その対訳もライナーノーツに完全収録。ここでは、氏が００７に携わる切っ掛けから裏話も載っていて、楽しめます！迷わずに”買い！”です。

公開前に発売されたサントラ通常盤には未収録だった、
映画後半１／３の楽曲を収録したスコア盤。

映画撮影の大幅な遅れから、映画音楽のスコアは
わずか３週間で書かれたそうです。
そして、そのしわ寄せがレコーディングの日程に影響し、
サントラ通常盤には、リリース時にレコーディングが
終了していた前半２／３の曲しか収録されていませんでした。

音楽には、当初は何と、ジョン・バリーが予定されていたが
条件面で折り合わず降板。代わりにバリーから紹介されたのが
アーノルドだったというから、まさにお墨付きです。

最初から最後まで、ジョン・バリー風に要所要所で
「ジェームズ・ボンドのテーマ」が何度も鳴り響き、
カタルシスが味わえます。

「01. ホワイト・ナイト」おなじみ冒頭のガンバレル(銃口)
マークから主題歌前、プレタイトルでの活躍シーンでの音楽。
「02. シンキング・オブ・デヴォンシュア」潜水艦沈没！！
「12. ヘリコプター・ライド」以降が初収録曲。
「13. バイク・チェイス」は、そのものずばり、バイクでの
アクションシーンの曲で、終盤、ボンドのテーマが高らかに鳴り響く！
「19. デヴィッド・アーノルド・インタビュー」は、
作曲者へのインタビュー。日本語解説書にはその対訳を掲載。

完全収録をうたってはいますが、サントラ通常盤には５曲目に
入っていた「ステーション・ブレーク」の１曲のみが、
なぜか本盤には未収録です。
