トルナットーレ監督のかの名作「ニュー・シネマ・パラダイス」のサウンドトラック盤。かつて”マカロニ・ウェスタン”の映画音楽で知られたエンニオ・モリコーネが、この作品ではいとも魅力的なメロディーの数々をプレゼントしてくれて居ます。だれもが想い出す名シーン、愛くるしいトトの笑顔やシチリアの田舎町の人々のみならず、映画館で上演される懐かしのシルヴァーナ・マンガーノやベベの姿も、このＣＤを聴けば、さらに身近に感じられることでしょう。

エンニオ＝モリコーネはイタリア映画だけでなく、世界的な音楽家として成功した伝説の人です。
ただシーンに流れているだけだった映画音楽の可能性を広げ、音楽によって映画が性格づけられることを可能にした才人の一人です。

映画作品に提供しただけで、200を越えるといわれている彼のスコアはすべてが独創的ですが、「ニュー・シネマ・パラダイス」は彼のキャリアの中で少しだけ異彩を放っています。

「ニュー・シネマ・パラダイス」でのエンニオ＝モリコーネはそれまでの独自性を少しだけ抑制し、映画（つまりトルナトーレ監督）に寄り添うような音楽を作り上げています。

トト少年の成長を見守るように、モリコーネのスコア群は優しく牧歌的です。

モリコーネの才能がそうさせているだけかもしれ!ないですけれど、この映画に本当に必要な音楽を見つけ出したかのように感じます。
それはイタリア映画音楽の粋であり、イタリア映画のもっている感情の質の高さです。
イタリア映画音楽の至宝といってかまわないような1枚ですね。

映画を見た方なら、あの美しい旋律がきっと耳に残っているでしょう。ＣＤで改めて”音楽”を聞いて、その素晴らしさを認識しました。曲を聴きながら、あの名場面が甦ってきますし、音楽自体が素晴らしく、何度でも聴き返しています。ＣＤの良さを感じさせてくれるサウンド・トラックです。

音が流れるように進んでいきます。一番好きなのは「愛のテーマ」！！！！言葉ではうまく伝えられないけれども、とっても素敵です。ぜひ試聴してみて下さいナ。
