天才ジョーダン・ルーデス(key)が加入！
内容は、輪廻転生をテーマにした
コンセプト・アルバムに仕上げ
楽曲も演奏もサウンドもスリリングで息をもつかせません。
とにかく全編映画を観てるかのような本作は名盤中の名盤ですよ。
約８０分の時間が許す時に歌詞（訳詞）を読みながら
じっくり聴き込んで欲しい作品です。
これぞプログレ・メタルのパイオニア

ドリームシアターの最高傑作でしょう。

まさに究極の一枚としか言いようがないアルバムです。
発売日に買いに行き、家で聴いた瞬間鳥肌が止まりませんでした。
鳥肌が立つCD、みなさんは何枚もってますか？また、これからの人生で何枚出会えるでしょうか？
今日まで何千というCDをきいてきましたが、これまで完璧に創り込まれたコンセプトアルバムはありません。
とにかく聞いてください、そして体感してください、究極と云わしめる意味を。

まさに歴史的名盤。始めに聴いた時は内容がナカナカ理解出来なかったが、何度も繰り返し聴いていると、この作品の素晴らしさが伝わりストーリー展開もとても良く出来ていると実感できた。全体的にメンバーのテク二ックを前面に押し出した作品ですが、楽曲は全曲捨て曲無しで最後まで通して聴ける作品。これ程までに完成されたコンセプトアルバムにはなかなか出会えないであろう。プログレッシブ・へヴィーメタルの最高峰である事は間違いない。
