このアルバムを聴いて洋楽にドップリとはまりました。
シングル・カットされた６、３、４、１、８（発売順）をはじめとして、捨て曲なしです。
「You Might Think」のビデオ・クリップは第１回MTVビデオ・アワードの最優秀賞を受賞しました。
アメリカでは大盛り上がり！！という感じでしたが、日本では・・・

リックの曲作りのセンス、エリオットの渋いギター、ベンの甘い声とマスク。こんなに個性的なバンドは他にないと思います。
ちなみにこのアルバムのプロデューサーはロバート・ジョン・”マット”・ランジ、１９８４年の作品です。（Amazonの解説は１９８３年となっていますが、発売されたのは８４年です。）

カーズ最大のヒット作となった5作目。この独特のポップセンスはワン・アンド・オンリーです。80年代特有のチープなサウンドを味方につけたサウンドです。（これは計算ずくのものなのか、たまたまなのか。）　落ち着いた曲調の曲もありますが、やはりこの人たちの真骨頂はコミカルに近いポップな曲ですね。ヒットしたEをはじめおもちゃ箱的なガチャガチャしたサウンドを楽しみましょう。

１９８３年に発売されたカーズ５枚目のアルバム。カーズの最も大きなセールスを記録し、頂点に達した作品。リック・オケイセックのポップな感覚とプロデュースを努めたロバート・ジョン”マット”ランジの持ち味が溶けあっていて、聞いてて飽きない面白さ。一言で言えば、コミカルな感じのするポップ・アルバム。346が、シングルで大ヒットし、当時から始まったＭＴＶで常に顔を覗かせていたのがカーズ。ヒット曲以外もどれも魅力的で、一曲一曲雰囲気を変えてバラエティに富んでいるが、センスの良さでアルバム全体が見事に調和している。持っていて損はしない作品。ポップのお好きな方にはお薦め！
