　ELVISの曲は全部歌えると豪語するロバート・プラントだけあって文句なしのロカビリー~ジャイブアルバム　グループ名はJOE LIGGINGからだしROY BROWNのROCKIN' AT MIDNIGHTも完璧JIVE　レイ・チャールズのI GOT A WOMANもエルビスバージョンによる完璧ロカビリー！！

このアルバムがリリースされた84年は、バンドエイドが大掛かりなプロジェクトバンドとして成功を納めた年でもあり、音楽界全体にピュアなコラボレーションの風潮があったと思う。ロック界の大御所3人とナイルロジャースによるこのCDは、間違いなくコラボレーションが最高の形で結実している一枚だろう。

Sea of Loveは文句無い名曲だが、Young boy bluesやRockin' at midnightも良い意味で枯れていながら艶のある名演だと思う。
全体的に弦楽器の名器のような上品なサスティーンが効いた音色が溢れている印象があるのだが、パンチがあるR&Bでありながら、こんな雰囲気が出ているのが何とも不思議である。

にぎやかなホームパーティーでBGMにしたら、かなりカッコイイのではないだろうか。

８４年にロバート・プラントが、ジミー・ペイジやジェフ・ベック、ナイル・ロジャースなどを招いて作られた企画色の強いミニ・アルバムだが、なかなかおもしろい作品に仕上がっている。フィル・フィリップス＆トワイライダースのヒット曲の２．は、かなり有名でＣＭ等でも使用された。この曲を中心に、夏のリゾート感覚が感じられるロバート・プラントとしては若干異色の内容ながら、それだけに貴重で楽しめると思う。ロバート・プラントはハード・ロック一筋の人で、この一途さは本当に魅力で共感も覚えるのだけど、ファンというものは矛盾した思いも持っているもので、あの素晴しい声でスタンダードなポップ色の強い曲を聞かせてくれたら・・・という思いも持っていたりする。で、実際にやられたら文句を言うわけなんだけど、そのギリギリの線がこのアルバムだと思う。フル・アルバムでないところも何となく合点がいく。
