Album Details

Japanese only SHM pressing. Includes two bonus tracks. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.

なぜか中古屋でよく見かける。

もしあなたがMR.BIGのポップス的な側面が好きなら、
又はこれがMR.BIGとのファーストコンタクトになるなら、
このアルバムはあなたの期待するMR.BIGとはかけ離れている作品に
聴こえるかもしれない。

もしあなたが何かの楽器のプレイヤーなら、
又はセカンドアルバムに少し物足りなさを感じたのなら、

このアルバムが最高傑作に思えるに違いない。

…やりすぎだろ、ビリー…

　個人的に一番楽曲が安定しているアルバムだと思っています。
　セールス的にどうだったかはわからないのですが、過去にリリースしたものはセンスが光っているが、やや未完成な部分を感じていました。曲のムラもあったと思います。

　このアルバムはコロラド・ブルドッグという速い曲を一曲目にもってきて、彼らのスタイルを守ったまま、他の曲もなかなか味わい深いものを作り上げています。

　実際、インパクトよりも、何度も聞き返すうちに良くなってくる曲が多いし。ハード・ロックというよりもダンサブルな横ノリの楽曲が多いので、ファンにはちょっとガッカリした部分もあるかと思います。

　というわけで、このアルバムはアルバムで優秀ということです。はい。

確かに前作のLEAN INTO ITに比べれば地味かもしれない、一般受けしないかもしれない。でも個人的にはMR.BIGのアルバムの中で最も聞き込んだアルバム。
ブルージーな感じの曲が多く、とにかくかっこいい！聴けば聴くほど味が出る、という感じです。

ビリー・シーンのベースとポール・ギルバートのギターのからみ合いは、本当にしびれるし、エリック・マーティンの歌声の素晴らしさは言うまでもない。この歌声に何度癒されたことか・・・。

ルーズな感じに仕上がっている「ミスター・ビッグ」（カバー曲）は、MR.BIGの原点が感じられる渋い1曲。ここでのボーカルは本当にエリック・マーティンの才能を感じさせる。必聴。
