映画公開時から好評だったのに、契約の問題で長年レコード化できなかった幻のサントラ。お店で発見した時は興奮しました。発売期間が比較的短いサントラ盤で、約10年もカタログに残っているベストセラーです。CDを流せば、あなたはもう酸性雨の降るあの街へ。

人気のエンドテーマは「ブレード・ランナー~ザ・ベリー・ベスト・オブ・ヴァンゲリス」収録版とは別バージョン。とにかくこの曲が好き！という方は、両方お聴きになることをお薦めします。

ついに出たオフィシャルサントラですが、洩れた曲があったり、セリフが入っていたのが残念でした。しかし、ブレードランナーの世界を際立たせる数々の名曲が聴けることは、嬉しいです。できれば未収録曲を含めた完全版をリリースして欲しいです。

全くVangelisは罪深い。いったい何年待たせたのか･･･。ついにでた｢正真正銘｣のｻｳﾝﾄﾞﾄﾗｯｸ!!。ｵｰﾌﾟﾆﾝｸﾞから物凄い･･･。当時、ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑを出さないのは｢作品にならない｣から、という彼のｺﾒﾝﾄがあった(出所不明)。｢炎のﾗﾝﾅｰ｣が全米をはじめ各国でﾅﾝﾊﾞｰﾜﾝになっていたあの頃、このﾊﾘｳｯﾄﾞ映画のｻﾝﾄﾗが出ないというのは、大事件だったに違いない。実際、｢ｵｰｹｽﾄﾗﾙｱﾚﾝｼﾞ版｣とか、必死のﾌｫﾛｰをﾚｺｰﾄﾞ会社と映画会社はやっていた。そして時を隔てて、このｻﾝﾄﾗである。ﾀﾞｲｱﾛｰｸﾞや映画のMEを大胆にﾌｭｰﾁｬｰし、｢あのｱﾚﾝｼﾞ｣による｢あのﾃｰﾏ｣(ﾌｧﾝなら判りますよね)が、堂々と鳴り響く･･･。冷静に考えれば彼の最高傑作ではないけれど、いまや｢伝説｣となった｢あの映画｣に付加した音楽である。その事自体、貴重だし意味深い。Vangelisの音が無ければ、｢伝説｣には成り得なかったはずだから･･･。
