マラーホフ、ジュリー・ケント、アンヘル・コレーラと素晴らしい踊りが
目白押しです。特に２幕のグラン・パ・ド・ドゥのコレーラの踊りがすごい！
大迫力。興奮します。観客も総立ちです。めったにないことです。
マラーホフが奴隷商人という脇役で出ています。彼はこの役が一番演じが

いがあっておもしろいと言ったそうです。こんな感じでキャストは最高です。
バレエを見たことのない方にも踊りの迫力は楽しめると思います。
すごい！と感動すると思います。

アメリカン・バレエ・シアターらしい迫力の有る群舞が素晴らしい。物語が判りやすく、華やかさ、優雅さ全てが揃って、バレエを観たことが無い方にもオススメの作品。クラシック作品でこれだけ迫力が有るという事は、コンテンポラリーな現代のダンスよりも凄い事です。

ジュリー・ケントとイーサン・スティーフェルの甘美的なパ・ド・ドゥ、
アンヘン・コレーラがソロで魅せるフルスピードのテクニック、
ホアキン・デ・ルースとコールドの群舞、
マラーホフの演技など見所は沢山あり。

第二幕のパ・ド・トロワの後にはスタンディングオベーションが起こりショーストップになってしまいますが、ここに居るお客さん達の気持ちはこのDVDでもわかります！

数年前にNHKでも放送されていたのを観ていたのですがDVDでも欲しくなり購入。買って本当に良かったです！

アリ（コンラッドの奴隷）役のアンヘル・コレーラとメドーラ（ジュリー・ケント）・コンラッド（イーサン）のバ・ド・トロワが一番の見せ場。アリとメドーラ、何度観てもすばらしいです！
またマラーホフがランケンデム（奴隷商人）を演じているのも珍しくも彼の踊りにはつい見入ってしまう魅力があります。
最後に「海賊」の爽快なムードと迫力を盛り上げてるのはホワキン・デ・ルスでしょう。衣装デザインもエキゾチックでかっこいい・美しいです。楽しくて、豪華なキャスティングで何度も観てしまいます。

幕間にスタッフやダンサーたちがストーリーや作品について解説してくれるのでバレエ初心者でも楽しんで観られます。お薦めです！
