3.0 out of 5 stars ロー・ウェイ監督の最期のあだ花, 2003/5/21
ジャッキーが初期に在籍したロー・ウェイ監督の個人プロにおける、事実上最後の作品。
しかしその実態は、ジャッキーがマネージャーのウィリー・チャンと設立した個人プロの第１回作品「クレージーモンキー笑拳」の本編並びに未使用フィルムを流用し、かつジャッキーのソックリさん俳優による追加シーンを加えてオリジナルの物語を作ってしまった、

　一種の盗作
といえるバッタモノ作品。

　この映画、実はロー監督のもとで「龍拳」の次に撮影する新作の予定だったのですが、この時点で既にジャッキーは、犬猿の仲だったローから逃げるべく、ゴールデン・ハーベスト社に強行移籍、本当の「醒拳」は幻と消えました。

　ロー自体もジャッキーを快く思っていないようで、「笑拳」フィルムをジャッキーに無断で流用しただけでなく、この作品の中でジャッキー扮する主人公の人相を別の俳優が説明する場面で「大きな鼻、小さい目・・」と、ジャッキーのコンプレックス部分をあからさまに台詞にしており、この点についてジャッキーは自伝「僕はジャッキー・チェン」で、「このようないかがわしい映画を作ったことだけでも訴訟ものだが、何より許せないのは、僕の人相を、僕が一番気にしている部分をわざわざ台詞にしていることだ」と、今持ってジャッキーの怒髪天を突く怒り収まらず、という感じ。

　そういうわけで、ジャッキー史のウラ作品ではナンバーワンでしょう（笑）。

　しかし日本ではこの作品を「新クレージーモンキー大笑拳」というタイトルでロードショー公開してしまったのです・・・。

普通にジャッキーものだと思って見ると痛い目を見ます
既に多数の人が書いておられるように
途中でジャッキーは出なくなり
似ても似つかないかわりの役者が変装したり
後姿ばかり写したりして
無理矢理続きます
最後の戦いでも笑拳の全く画質の違うフィルムを無理矢理挿入
よく見れば敵の服装も笑拳のフィルムに合わせて
いつのまにか変わっています

香港映画のでたらめさが許せる方
そういった無茶なネタが好きな方オンリーにおすすめです

売れなかった頃のジャッキー・チェンを育て（!?）、
最後には逃げられてしまったロー・ウェイ監督が、
皮肉にも別監督の作品：『酔拳』・『蛇拳』で一気にスターとなった
ジャッキーの人気にあやかってムリヤリに仕立て上げた作品だそうです。

設定は拳シリーズあたりの田舎での時代カンフーものです。
この映画でしか見られないシーンもあるのですが、
ニセモノジャッキー、パクリシーンやバレバレ合成シーンなども含まれています。

こんな作品を作っても許されるの? という香港映画のすごさを感じることができますので、
全てをトータルで楽しめる方には意外とおすすめできる1本です。
