4.0 out of 5 stars ロー・ウェイ時代のジャッキー集大成, 2003/5/19
　ロー・ウェイ監督のプロに在籍したころのジャッキー作品の中ではトップクラスの人気を誇る作品。
　ロー監督をいまだに快く思っておらず、自伝「僕はジャッキー・チェン」でもロー作品を凄まじい勢いで酷評していたジャッキー・チェン本人ですら、本作を「傑作になる素質を持った作品」「ブルースが主演していたら・・」と、条件付ながら評価しています。

　物語はシンプルながら一ひねりした仇討ちもの。
　師範殺しの男を倒すため猛特訓した主人公だが、やっと探し当てた仇敵が自分の罪を心から恥じて善人となっていた・・という、マンネリ対策が結構面白い。

　それにしてもこの映画の見事なのは何といってもラスト20分に及ぶ激しいアクション。

　ジャッキーの初期クンフー映画の中ではおそら!くナンバーワンの殺陣じゃないでしょうか？

　惜しむらくは今回発売のソフトは75分の短縮版（香港公開時のオリジナルは90分で日本劇場公開時もこの90分版、一部東南アジア公開では100分版もあったそうです）であり、しかもスタンダードサイズにトリミングされて画面構図がかなり乱れていること。

　先日日本でも発売された「酔拳」「蛇拳」の権利元コロンビアトライスター社が、米国でこの２本のソフトと同じようにオリジナルスコープサイズ・レストアの鮮明な画質のDVDを発売したので、願わくばこのソフトの日本版発売が実現されてほしいところ。

この作品、見所は師匠の技を忠実に受け継いで、ひたすら修業によって
強くなったタン・ホーエンの技でしょうか。
冒頭、師・サンタイが武林至尊の大会でその技を振るいますが、
３年間の修業で強くなったホーエンの技は忠実に師の技を引き継いでいます。
師の無念を晴らすための復讐として、このあたりの描き方は作品に
重みを与えていると思います。

余談ですがそのサンタイ先生、「酔拳」では棒のおっさんでしたね。

この作品が作られたのは拳シリーズの頃なのですが、テイストは全く異なります。
どちらかというと『成龍拳』に近い、シリアスで不幸っぽい暗モノです。
またタイトルにもなっている『龍拳』という技!?もストーリー上では全く触れられていません。

ノラ・ミャオ様は美しく、ジャッキーも強くかっこいいのですが、

なんとなく中途半端でしっくりこないという感がぬぐえません。
アクションはそこそこ見ごたえあるのに、、、
同時期の作品があまりに素晴らしいからなのか、そのように感じてしまったので私的には星3つです。

余談ですが、主人公のキャラクターや心情を絡めたストーリーの複雑さなどでも共通項が多いので、

『成龍拳』好きの方はおそらく『龍拳』もお気に召すかと思います。
