「大都会PARTII」は、シリーズの中で一番好きでした。前作の「大都会」がやや大人向けで、渡哲也さんと篠ヒロ子さんとのラブシーンがあったりしましたが･･･「大都会PARTII」は、カーチェイスなどを採り入れた、いわゆる後の「西部警察」へ発展していく一連のシリーズの中で、城西署・クロさんこと黒岩刑事（渡哲也さん）と、トクこと徳吉刑事（松田優作さん）のコンビがすごく良くキマッていました。本物の覆面パトカーに改造した黒パトもカッコ良かったです。若き日の峰竜太さんや、神田正輝さん、弁慶こと刈谷俊介さん。そして渋谷病院の外科医の宗像先生（石原裕次郎さん）とのシーンもあり、大人向け過ぎず、子供向け過ぎず･･･とてもバランスの取れた素晴らしい作品でした。被疑者役には、あの「大追跡」で後に活躍する、柴田恭平さんらも出演ていました。また、♪テーマ曲や、♪クロのテーマなどの音楽面でも、かなりいい線いっていました。追跡シーン、アクションシーンにそれぞれすごく合っていました。また、エンディングの渡哲也さんの「♪ひとり」もいい曲でした。あっ！高品格さんもベテラン刑事役でしたね。
