井上鑑のプロデュースとキーボードワークが効いている（＃10のみ宮沢和史プロデュース）。個人的にはシンセ音を多用したサウンドは苦手なのだが、このアルバムのそれは上質なアーバンソウルを思わせる濃密な仕上がりで素晴らしい。

我如古の歌三絃も沖縄を代表する本格派だけあって実に艶やかで文句なし。ただ、標準語のせいなのかこぶしを利かせにくいメロディや音域のせいなのか、オリジナル曲の＃１、＃７、＃１０、＃１１などはその他の民謡を元にした歌の神々しいほどの迫力には欠けるきらいがある。

「島唄」のオリジナルウチナーグチバージョンも良いが、荘厳な＃４、ヒップな＃８、オーソドックスだが本領発揮という感じの宮沢和史とのデュエット＃９が最大の聞きどころか。
