私が「音楽」と出会った作品と言えるほどの名盤です。
特にForestは、クラシック感溢れる名曲で、エレキ楽器の奥の深さを教えてくれた曲です。
初期ラクリマの実力も、他の追随を許さない強さも、音楽性の柔軟さも、どこを切ってもかっこいいと思える1枚です。
ビデオのGlass Castleも併せてお勧めいたします。

5.0 out of 5 stars とにかく聞きまくったミニアルバムです, 2007/7/9
ミニアルバム「Warm Snow」が完売したため、再録し再発した96年作。素晴らしい完成度！独特の世界観を感じさせるという点ではラクリマで一番よくできた作品だと思う。キャッチーなメロディーの裏にひそむ皮肉な表情、毒気。安易な歌モノにはならない、凝ったアンサンブル。聞きやすいのに深くてマニアック、聞けば聞くほど味が出る。こんなにもカッコよくてセンス溢れるヴィジュアル系バンドはもう二度と現れないと思う。
「Warm Snow」は独特のうねり、力強さを持った曲。サソリとカエルが現れ、不思議な、悲しく残酷な寓話のような詩世界。友情と宿命。毒に犯され沈んでいくカエル。途切れる意識。サソリは頬杖を付いてそれを眺めてるが、その瞳に涙が…。「Forest」は透き通って繊細な曲。本当に素敵なメロディー。途中で一度、静寂に沈んでから再び盛り上がる展開が良い。「A.S.I.A」は異国情緒、憂いに満ち、独特の雰囲気、影のあるメロディーに酔える。ひたれる。ちょっと昭和歌謡風味。ギターソロでは暗い情熱が燃え盛る！夜の砂漠が目に浮かぶような後奏のギターも良い。「カリブで生まれた月」はこれまたお洒落でしぶい。後の「ねむり薬」などにも通じるような雰囲気。ボーカルもかなり個性的。後半の盛り上がりのファンキーさ、更にその後に壮大な静寂が広がるのがまた何とも言えない独特のムード。「Poison Rain」は鋭く疾走。切迫感に満ちスリリングに切り込んでくるギターにしびれっぱなし。暗く病やんだ詩世界も良い。間奏部分、夜の闇が浮かぶような怪しげな静寂から爆発的に飛び出し情熱的にひきまくるギターソロがたまらなくカッコイイ。ひとり虚しくたそがれるような後奏も、実に良い雰囲気。

インディーズの頃からこんなにすごい曲を出していたなんて本当にびっくりする。この５曲は、すごいマニアックかも知れないけど･･･これぞ、他のバンドでは絶対に作り出せないラクリマ独自の世界観という気がする。

FORESTは、メジャーシングルでIN　FORESTとアレンジされてちょっとポップになって出ているけれども、絶対にこっちのFORESTの方が凝っててかっこいいという気がする。（でも人それぞれなのでわかりませんが･･･）

むちゃくちゃかっこいいのはPoison　Rainがロックって感じがして良いと思うけど、変調のマニアックさをもとめるならば、A.S.I.Aだと思う。

とにかく、このアルバムを聞いたらインディーズの頃からすごい世界観を持っていて、高度な演奏力なバンドっていうことが実感できると思う。
全部お勧めの曲。ただ、今はライブではほとんど聞けないと思いますが･･･
