表題曲であるm1『静寂が燃える』は意外にもジャジーなイントロから始まる曲だが、轟音ギターからいつものイースタン節が炸裂し、「誰か私を知らないか！」と突き刺さる様なシャウトに至る。それにしても間奏の途中で挿入される「この静けさに耐えかねて嗚咽を漏らしているのは誰だ」というセリフが渋過ぎる。このセリフを聞く為だけに買っても損は無い気もするが、m2『大馬鹿流エモーション!』も彼等のメロディセンスの良さを再確認させられる隠れた名曲だったりする。そして、最後に静から動へと大きくうねるインストナンバー、m3『午前四時』で本作の幕は閉じる。

このマキシはeastern youthの静と動が聞ける一枚です。他の二曲もすごいですが、アルバムには入っていない二曲目の大馬鹿流エモーションはイースタンのパワー全開という感じです！イースタンのアルバムだけ買っている人はもったいない！今すぐイースタンのシングルを買って聞いてください、絶対後悔はしないはず！
