青空の下,{フォーク}な音を出す青年男子2人組。たたずまいはサニーデイに入れそうな90年代風男の子なのだが,白い歯見せて笑いながら歌ってるかもしれない,と思うと……。健やかなるこれからが楽しみです。J(S)Wの呼人くんがプロデュース。

ふさけたバンド名だなー、と読み飛ばすことなかれ。ゆずと名乗るこのフォーク・デュオ、未発見の魅力を秘めた、あなどれないニュー・フェイスだ。中学校以来の友人である2人が、横浜は伊勢崎町商店街での路上ライヴで腕を磨き、1stミニ・アルバム『ゆずの素』を発表したのは昨年のこと。今回が2ndだが、演奏はジャカジャカかき鳴らすアコースティック・ギターと、数曲にドラムやハーモニカが入るだけというシンプルさ。では、ゆずの最大の魅力は何か? というと、対等の個性を持つヴォーカル同士の絶妙のハーモニーに尽きる。とにかく声が若くて、どちらも主旋律を歌えるほど力強く、シャウトにも甘酸っぱさが香るところは、まさにゆず風味。歌詞はわりとよくありがちな自分探しソングだが、世代を超えた青春の原風景を描いていてイヤミなく聴ける。デビュー当時の真心ブラザーズをちょっと彷彿させるだけに、スクスク育って音楽的な枠を広げてほしいと、出たばかりの芽に水をやるような気持ちで聴いてます。 (ミヤモトヒデオ) --- 1998年03月号

エンドレスで何時間回しても飽きない1枚。季節に関係なく聴けるところもいい。ゆずブレイクのきっかけをつくった名曲「なにもない」はファンならずとも必聴です！

どの曲も直ぐに口ずさめるし、
それでいて、歌詞もなんか心にしみます。
今聴くと、ふたりのこなれてない感じの声が新鮮かも?!
ぜひぜひ聴いてみてください。

まだゆずがデビューしてない頃のミニアルバム。でも名曲の「シュビドゥバー」などが入ったまだまだ若いゆずのアルバム。ライブなどで歌う歌も結構入っているので聴いてみたらどうですか？？？
