「夜空ノムコウ」ほど大ヒットしたとは言えないこの曲ですが、なかなか名曲ではないでしょうか。秋~冬にかけて聴きたい１曲です。CWの「見えないもの」もいいので、まだお持ちでない方は是非一度聴いてみて下さい。

『夜空ノムコウ』の大ヒットの余興のうちにリリースされたこともあって、そこまで目立たなかった楽曲ですが、僕はSMAPの代表曲のひとつに数えても良い名曲だと思っています。もちろん歌唱力の高さを名曲の一要素に求める場合は別ですが。

夜明け前の気だるくも胸騒ぎのするような静寂さが音に忠実に表れています。そんな深い夜明けをバックに、あくまでも普遍的なテーマがこの曲には流れています。

一見ラヴソングのように思えますが、『いつか大人になって』とあるので、恋の歌というよりは、子供、または少年少女の心をもったあらゆる人たちに向けたメッセージソングという設定の方が近い気がします。また、そのメッセージが意味を成すのは、伝える側であるSMAPが国民的スターという立ち位置にあるからだと思います。

舞台は桟橋。そこで大切な人と一緒に眺めた朝日の情景が鮮やかに描き出されています。

“朝日”とは“変わらぬもの”の象徴。時が経ち、環境が変わり、心が変わり、それでも変わらないもの…。朝日があのときと変わらずに海を照らし続けるように、『二人の思い出』や『澄んだ心』も変わらずに胸に抱いて、夢に向かって頑張ってほしい。そして、いつかまた一緒にあの朝日を見に行って、変わらぬ想いを確かめ合いたい。…そんな願いが込められています。

『時がずっと流れても この朝日は変わらないよ』

めまぐるしく激動してゆく世の中だからこそ、この曲のもつテーマは重要な意味を担っていると思います。みなさんはこの曲に何を想い描くでしょうか。

皆さんのこの曲に対するイメージって、やっぱり自然があって季節感もあるって感じがすると思いますが、私にとってはそういうイメージだけではなく、この曲って何となくだけど、夢を持つことの大切さや夜空の星に願いをかけることの大切さ、そして今の私の気持ちを上手に表現されていて、自然とか季節感の中にも何かＳＭＡＰが伝えたいことやメッセージ性などがちゃんと込められていて、自然を歌ったかのように見せかけて、実は夢を持つことや、願いをかけることへの気持ちを忘れずに生きていこうよって言ってくれているような感じが凄くします。確かにこの曲って神秘的なイメージが強いのですが、それでもこの曲はＳＭＡＰの他には歌えないと思います。こういうバラードって、凄く大人っぽくありませんか？？
