父親が、昔よく歌ってくれました。父がでたらめに作った歌だと思っていましたので、実在する歌だと知って驚きました。
父は３年前に亡くなったので、聞かせてあげたら喜んだねと、母とも話しました。「卵のお汁」は父も好きだったそうで（お味噌汁に、卵を落とすのだそうです）、でも母にはそのおいしさはわからなかったといっていました。

本当に良い曲ばかりです。
中でも「茶目子の一日」はかなりの名曲です。
3世代で楽しめる内容だと思います。

しかし、差別語があるということで、
一番メロディーの良い部分が大幅にカットされているのが
残念としかいいようがありません。
レコードが手に入りにくいのですから、
できれば完全な形で出して欲しかったです。

大正・昭和初期のぶっ飛んだセンスは尋常じゃない。少女・茶目子が朝起きて、ごはん食べて、学校行って、帰ってくるまでのお茶目な一日をフルオーケストラを伴奏に唄う「オペレッタ」であるが、それにしても、ごはんを食べるのに納豆にするかお新香にするかみたいなことまでふつう歌にするか！とか、先生まで質問を歌い出したら授業は進まないじゃないか！といったツッコミをいれながらも、この時代の発想や表現力の天衣無縫さにドギモを抜かれっぱなしで、スゲエ！の一言。あと、ジャケットの平井英子さんの美少女ぶりも必見。
