JAZZサックスホーンプレイヤーの清水靖晃氏がクラシックBach、カザルスの演奏で有名な無伴奏チェロ組曲に挑戦。演奏場所も音の反響する大谷石の採掘場を選び、ソロ演奏に重厚な厚みを加えている。カザルスは余韻の残るチェロだったが、清水氏はサックスでその名演に勝負を挑んだ。レビュアーは車のCMで耳にして、メーカーに電話して、演奏者を尋ねた。クラシックファンにはJAZZを聴くきっかけに、JAZZファンはカザルスを次に聴いてほしいと思う逸品である。

最初、車のCMで聞いた時チェロにしては変わってるなぁ
なんて思ってたらサックスだったんですね。
すごくきれいでサックスに興味ない人にもおすすめですっ。
心が落ち着いて洗われるようです。
私が死ぬときにはこれを聴きながら死にたいです。
