UAのライヴ・パフォーマンスが早くもアルバム化された。“早くも”というのは、要するにこれがファースト・ツアーに当たるからで、ネガティヴな意味はない。なによりも、UAのステージは最初から一定のレベルに達していたのが驚きだった。去年の夏に多くのバンドと共に出演したあるイベントで初めて見たときから、バンドのメンバーのグレードも、音楽的なまとまり具合も、それこそスタートラインを軽くクリアしていた。いわゆるシンガーであっても、UAの場合はそのヴォーカルに音楽性の柱があるタイプ。ストレートにやっても無理なくテイスティだし、小細工のいっさいないネイティヴなウォーカルだからこそ胸に届く。このライヴ・アルバムは、昨年の11月に行なわれた“ON AIR EAST”でのステージがMCまでもフルに収録されているが、5曲中3曲がライウでのお披露目となったカヴァー・ソングの数々も、個性的でいて意外と底知れぬ彼女の音楽性を知る上での良い材料となるだろう。 (高橋竜一) --- 1997年05月号

このアルバムを聴くといつもなごむ。
独特のＵＡの世界、ライブ中のあったかい空気、いい曲。
2倍楽しめる！
始まりから終わりまで全てよし！
カバーのビコーズザナイトも好き☆
とにかくこのアルバムはＵＡ好きなら買うべき１枚。

日本ではめずらしいエスニックテイストを持つシンガー。みんがきれいに歌うのを基準にしていたのをこの人はエスニックな気持ちよさでクリアしてみせた。これはライブであるが、アレンジはかなりダンサブル＆ダンスホールモードにしてあるようだ。バックバンド＝アレンジャー＝がエスニックな音楽＝レゲエ、ダブ、ラテン系カリビアン系を聴いているようで、リズムアプローチが実に多彩で飽きさせずにのせるのがうまい。

このへんがこのアルバムの聴きどころであろうか。ボーカルのほうはシャウトはなしでまああ、大人しめに歌っておりますね。ダイナミックなシャウトはちょっと無理なのですかね~~。まそんなわけで『和気あいあい』なモードで『学芸会的な』のりがあるんでそのへんが＝レゲエのリズムと??いまっていい雰囲気になっています。

かなりコアなレゲエアレンジを施してあるので、そのへんがチョイスの基準になるのではないでしょうか。ここちよい『ラバースロック』を展開しております。日本のジャネットケーみたいな存在か。

もとオリジナルラブ＋ミュートビートのブレーンがバックでサウンドアイディアを出しているので、そのへんのレゲエ＋ダブのお遊び的な部分が聴きどころ。

ＵＡの声に包まれる感じで、心地よいアルバムです！
流れるように最後まで聞けるし、普段は気になるオーディエンスの声も気にならない。癒されてください！
