水鏡はCocco独特の魅力を生かしたCoccoらしさの漂う一枚だ。どことなく漂う穏やかさと秘めた激しさを歌い上げている。歌詞も曲調もなぜか一度聞くと耳から離れない。この独特のCoccoの魂を燃やしながら歌う魅力が耳から離れない。Coccoファンなら是非お勧めの一枚であり、Coccoを語るには逃せない一曲だ。

私はＣｏｃｃｏさんを好きになったのは活動停止された後だったんですがこの曲だけは妙に頭に残っていました。初めて聞いたときからずーっと頭から離れなくて。。たしか何かのテレビでプロモが流れてたと思うんですがほんの数十秒の間に私の頭の中に曲をのこしてくれて・・（笑）。本当に短い間で彼女は私の心を動かしたんです。すごいなあって思いますね。初めて曲を全部聴いたときは感動ものでした。今でもずっと聞いてますがぜんぜん飽きません。大好きな曲です。

Coccoの憎しみ、悲しみ、怒り…そして恨みが全てつまった曲。はじめて聞いた時は苦しくて苦しくて仕方なかった。あまりに重くのし掛かる強く深い怨念のようなものを感じたから。でもしかし、なんて美しいメロディ、残酷な歌詞なんだろう。『…静かに呼びあう面影は夕立のように』『絡まる舌を切り落としたのはあなたじゃなくて…』『もつれた腕に爪を立てたのは今さら水面に歪む影』…なんて。 すごいです、すべてが。
