順序立てて聴いてないので何とも言えないが,くるりってこんな70年代日本のフォーク的な楽曲もやってたんだー,と個人的には多少驚いた。そしてこういうのキライじゃない。一方のカップリング曲はポップでストレンジ。このギャップが楽しい。

この歌の中に登場する「夕暮れの京阪電車の窓から・・」なんて、京都に住んでいた事のある人にはたまらないですね。大学時代よく京阪電車にのって遊びにいった京都の街を思い出しました。

私がくるりを初めて聴いたのはこの曲でした｡
くるりの曲にはいつも共通して｢切なさ｣が根底にあると思うのですが､この曲もまた然り｡聴いていていつも胸がしめつけられる思いです｡岸田さんのしぼり出す様なボーカルが一層切なさを増します｡いやむしろ｢痛い｣です｡聴きながら自然と情景が浮かんでくる情緒のある曲だと思います｡

B面の台風もあまのじゃくという感じの曲で､なんとも面白いです｡
とにかく､買って絶対損はないと思います｡

くるりの原点的名曲「街」。
「この街は僕のもの」というフレーズひとつで一気に持っていく。「青い空」に続いて、最近ではあまり聴かない声を張り上げるボーカルが印象的だ。詞も情景描写豊かに心情を映し出す。京阪電車なんてことばが出てくるのも、やはりくるりらしい。


2曲目「台風」。侮るなかれ、これが、本当に素晴らしい。飄々としたくるりのキャラクターそのものを表現したかのような、ピアノやマリンバも入り交じる軽妙なアンサンブルの不思議な曲。聴いたら忘れられなくなるほどの、インパクト最高な曲だ。まず一回、イントロだけでも聴いてみてください。
