デビュー当初は1stアルバム『アレキサンダー・ラグタイム・バンド』のタイトル名のようにフル・ネームがARBの正式名だったが,ARBの名が定着するにつれ,ヴォーカル,ギター1本,ドラム,ベースの編成から生み出すストレートなロックンロールが完成していく。石橋綾のヴォーカルが骨太になっていき,鋭利な詞がインパクトを増してきた。そのARBの79年6月発表の1stから85年10月発表の9thアルバムがこれだ。7th『魂こがして』後にメンバー・チェンジがあり,一時大きく揺れた時期もあったな~。

デビューした頃は銀座ＮＯＷという番組に手錠をはめて野良犬を唄っていた石橋凌、ビートルズとストーンズが好きだとラジオで大貫憲章に答えていた石橋凌、なんか軽んじられているデビューアルバムらしいけど、色々な可能性を秘めたバンドとして本当に注目されたデビューアルバムでした。なんだかんだ言ったって若さをぶちまけたデビューシングルの「野良犬」はのちのちの石橋凌の作った唄の原点であることが聞けばわかるはずです。私はＡＲＢの中でこの青臭い曲が一番好きです。

ARBという元々レコード会社によって作られた一つの一過性のバンドであることを感じられる唯一のアルバム。ENMAの作った２曲（これはこのアルバムでしか聞くことができない）以外すべて石橋凌が作詞作曲という現在復活したARBの姿も見られる。軽はずみに流すことができない大きなアルバムといってよい。ARBのことを一言でも人の前で口のするならば必ず側に置いておかなければならない最重要アイテムである。これ以降のアルバムではキーボードは完全に隅にやられてしまう。何故なのか？まさしくその答えがこのアルバムにはある。Believe in Rock'n Roll

デビューアルバムというよりもＡＲＢ前史のようなアルバム。

メンバーのうち２人がその後、中期のチューリップに加入したことからもメンバー間の方向性の違いは明らかで、プロダクション先行型のバンドであったことは間違いない。

若き日の石橋稜の歌声が聴けるという資料性以外には、あえて持っている必要はないアルバムである。
