飯島真理の詞・曲ともに完成度が高い。加えて、坂本龍一のアレンジ、シンセサイザーの音色（Prophet-5とDX7など）が秀逸。彩りが美しい。大村憲司の冴えたギターワークもグッときます。バックはこのほか、後藤次利、林立夫、浜口茂外也、向井滋春、清水靖晃と手だれぞろい。各プレイヤーの演奏が光っています。知る人ぞ知る名盤。84年２月発売。

飯島真理と言えば「マクロス」。と、想起される方が殆どだと思うが、彼女のルーツは意外と古く、このアルバムが、彼女にとっての記念すべきファーストアルバムなのだ。プロデュースが坂元龍一とあって、全体的に幻想的音楽風景を感じさせる味付けとなっている。歌声そのものが幼い可愛らしさで満ち溢れた彼女の歌唱力と、変幻自在な自由空間とも言える坂元氏の楽曲アレンジメントの組み合わせが、「日本音楽の開放」を宣言しているように感じる。このＣＤは当然復刻版であるため、オリジナルの音より若干音質が衰えている嫌いを禁じ得ないため、☆を一つ削った。彼女の歌の楽しみ方が変わることうけあいの入門書的ＣＤ。本来の飯島真理という一人の歌手としての姿を、少なくとも垣間見て頂けるはずだ。「ミンメイの歌声」しか知らない方には、元ファンとして是非とも聴いて頂きたい。

　例えば｢ひみつの扉｣。山下達郎がうたっても違和感なしだろう。いや、器用ではあるが単調で平板な山下の曲たちとは異なり、展開が実に、鮮やかだ。全体を覆うのは80年代前半の雰囲気だろうか、どことなく斬新で古風だが、なんともセンスがよく、本当によくできているなあ、と、ただただ感心してしまう。

　いまだに輝きを失わない快作である。
