懐かしい！とにかく懐かしくて。。私が小学６年生の頃、スターに憧れて、当時夢中になって観ていた“スター誕生”でペッパー警部でデビューした♪ピンクレディー♪それから１３曲目の波乗りパイレーツまでの振り付けを、新曲が出るたびに女の子たち皆が学校で踊っていたものです。曲を聴くと思わず、振り付けを思い出しながら、こっそり踊ってみたくなります。

ピンクレディーがテレビを席巻していた頃を良く知っているのは、現在40歳以上になっていると思いますが、あの強烈なブームはリアル・タイムでテレビを見ていた者に共通する鮮烈な思い出となっていることでしょう。

阿久悠の挑戦的で挑発的な歌詞と、都倉俊一のスピード感溢れるメロディとリズム、そして土井甫による子供たちを虜にした強烈で印象的な振り付けという三位一体のサポートによってピンクレディー人気は急上昇し、日本中を虜にし、魅了していきました。

デビュー当初は際物扱いをされていましたが、圧倒的なレコードセールスを記録し、テレビの高視聴率を獲得するやいなや時代の兆児としてテレビからその歌声が流れない日はない、というくらいにお茶の間を占領したのは今の時代からは全く想像だに出来ない現象だったと思います。日本レコード大賞、日本歌謡大賞を始め、あらゆる賞レースを勝ちぬき、頂点にたったミーとケイの姿はショービジネスの過酷さが見え隠れし、どこか痛々しささえ感じていました。

あれから30年経って、ＣＤで始めて彼女達の音楽をしっかりと聴きました。テレビで良く聴いて知っているつもりでしたが、サビ以外は結構ハーモニーも美しくよく練られた歌唱だったと思います。ヒットする要素は確かにありましたね。声にも張りがあり、透明感も持っていました。

ピンクレディーの音楽が流れると、その当時に少女時代を送った人は知らす知らずの内に踊り出すという現象をテレビで見せてもらったことがありますが、それほど一世風靡した歌手は後にも先にも出ていません。
時代の頂点に立ち、時代に君臨したピンクレディー、もうあのような超絶な現象は起きないでしょうね、多分。
